INTERNSHIPS


Internships are one of the most important steps in learning skills related to your job.

Internships are important in enabling students face real work situations as they complete their studies.

ihti has close links with major 4 and 5-star hotels in and out of Kenya.This combination of academic and real-world learning means that our graduates can go straight into a responsible position and work immediately to professional standards.



TUITION & FEES


The fee structure for the year 2012 is as detailed below. Please note that the fees are subject to change from time to time as economic conditions dictate.

* The annual fees are payable upon commencement of the course. Any balances should be cleared by second term.
* International Student fees are in Kenya Shillings or the equivalent in foreign currency.

OTHER FEES
BTEC ACCREDITATION
The ihti is accredited to the world renowned training body Edexcel, UK. All our students are therefore eligible to BTEC accreditation. Each student is required to pay British Pounds 390 to be registered with BTEC. The mode and order of payment is as structured below:

  • Bp200.00, upon the commencement of the course
  • Bp190.00, by the end of the second term

Payment of fees should be made through a direct deposit or inter-bank transfer to any of the bank account numbers that will be given on request. Students are required to bring with them a copy of the deposit slip or inter-bank transfer on the reporting date.

MEALS & ACCOMODATION


MEALS
The Institute offers morning and lunch at a cost of Kshs 5,000 per semester which is invoiced together with the tuition fees.

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
The Institute organises for student accommodation. Monthly accommodation charges vary between Ksh.6,000 to Ksh. 9000 (US$ 85 to US$ 130) per month, depending on student choice. These amounts are also subject to change depending on economic conditions.
